Recently, the "Love + Integration Center" in Shibei Community, Liulitun Street, Chaoyang District, received a batch of unused tables and chairs donated by the caring enterprise Hongsong, further promoting the construction of the community elderly activity center. The Beijing Chaoyang District Federation of Industry and Commerce and Hongsong attended the donation ceremony together, and the center's director expressed heartfelt gratitude to the District Federation of Industry and Commerce and Hongsong.
It was learned that Hongsong recently moved to a new home, but the idle tables and chairs in the original work area are still in good condition. After learning that the "Love + Integration Center" of Shibei Community urgently needed a batch of tables and chairs for residents to use for activities, the person in charge of the center was immediately contacted, who said that tables and chairs were in short supply and he was happy to accept these idle tables and chairs.
Hongsong's donation has put unused tables and chairs back into use, which not only deeply implements the concept of sustainable development, but also demonstrates Hongsong's positive role as a bridge between enterprises and the government, as well as its deep commitment to social responsibility.
In fact, the Liulitun Street "Love +" Integration Center is also a model for the renovation of old communities. Its predecessor was the boiler room of the former Beijing No. 2 Pharmaceutical Factory, with an area of 170 square meters. In the second half of 2023, the company and the street jointly built this place to carry out joint construction and various volunteer service activities, and the renovation was completed and put into use in July 2024. After the renovation, the Love + Integration Center provides residents around it with comprehensive services such as volunteer assistance, legal aid, maintenance services, and cultural leisure.
The person in charge of the center said that the arrival of these tables and chairs will further improve the center's office conditions on the basis of resident services. Residents will also have a new senior activity center, which will provide a good place for the elderly to "enjoy their old age."
Although the tables and chairs are small, they carry a lot of warmth and care. The person in charge of Hongsong said: "Public welfare is in action, and warmth does not stop. In the future, Hongsong will organize more public welfare activities to provide support to groups in need!"
