This group of young people takes serving the society and dedicating their love as their mission, actively participates in various volunteer service activities in the community, and contributes their own strength to social development.
The third community of Hongbo Home has refined classification, arranged time, and designed volunteer service content based on the ages, occupations, and spare-time periods of youth groups, in order to provide the youth with a volunteer service platform to the greatest extent possible.
Civilized guidance and standardized traffic order
As summer vacation approaches, the staff of the third community of Hongbo Home has already planned the summer youth volunteer activities.
Starting from the end of June, every Saturday morning from 7:30 to 8:30 and evening from 17:00 to 18:00, this group of young people will participate in the "Wait for the Light" traffic light civilized guidance activity at the main intersections they have claimed for six consecutive weeks, regardless of whether it is scorching hot in summer or rainy.
During the event, young volunteers wore vests and held signs at traffic lights at intersections, smilingly admonishing pedestrians for uncivilized behaviors such as running red lights and crossing the road, and reminding pedestrians to pay attention to traffic safety. Under the active guidance of young people, pedestrians cooperated well, and uncivilized traffic behaviors were significantly reduced.
The one-hour event passed quickly, and everyone felt that they had not finished yet. Although the time was short, the young people were deeply touched.
"Although the weather was very hot, the sun was very strong and I was very tired, through our guidance, we were able to stop the uncivilized behavior of pedestrians. I felt a sense of accomplishment and realized the sense of mission and responsibility as a volunteer," said young volunteer Feng Kaiyu.
Beautify the environment and clean up without leaving any dead corners
In order to encourage young people in the area to actively participate in community environmental sanitation construction, the third community of Hongbo Home has continued to carry out the "I Volunteer Check-in" environmental beautification volunteer practice activities in recent days.
The Youth Volunteer Service Team of the Third Community of Hongbo Homeland took action again to clean the community’s party building base, propaganda columns, main roads, sanitary dead corners and other public areas.
They use cleaning tools to carefully clean and sort the scraps of paper and garbage thrown by people in the grass and on the roadside. They pass on this positive energy to the residents of the community through practical actions, so that more people can consciously start from the small things around them and contribute their own strength to building a better home.
It is understood that this activity not only enhanced the young volunteers' awareness of environmental protection and garbage classification, but also promoted the volunteer service concept of "serving others and contributing to society."
