More than 70 students from various universities in Hong Kong entered some streets and scientific and technological enterprises in Haidian District for internships to feel the pulse of Beijing.
Hong Kong students participated in a video link event for the Beijing-Hong Kong community gala in Beijing.
Hong Kong students and community workers visited empty-nest elderly people and made dumplings for them.
During the Huaqingyuan Community Building Gate Management Project, students proposed a plan to add train elements to the building gate wall painting.

After completing a one-month internship in Sigma Community, Zhongguancun Street, Haidian District, Beijing, Hang Shiqi from Hong Kong Shue Yan University had a lot of feelings. While participating in the sanitary blind spot renovation project in No. 96 Courtyard of Sigma Community, Hang Shiqi and her partner He Jueping followed the community party general branch secretary Hu Yongzhen to communicate with the design unit to make the design more community-specific.
In the Dongli South Community of Zhongguancun Subdistrict, Zhang Yingxin, an intern from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, participated in the creation of the "most beautiful school-leaving road" in front of Shuangyushu No. 1 Primary School. She said, "In the community, I learned about the mechanism of 'everyone discusses and decides'. This cultural wall we painted was the result of 'everyone discusses and decides'. Crossing the mountains and the sea, for a month, the Hong Kong students "organized a group" to intern in Beijing and deeply participated in the urban renewal and grassroots governance work in Haidian District. They said that after returning to Hong Kong, they would definitely share this experience with more people and encourage them to participate in more exchange or internship projects with the mainland.
