Liu Aihua, spokesperson, chief economist and director of the National Economic Comprehensive Statistics Department of the National Bureau of Statistics, said in response to questions from the Daily Economic News reporter that from a year-on-year perspective, the specific structural changes are reflected in three aspects, among which the decline in prices of ferrous metals, non-metals and equipment manufacturing related industries is the main reason for the year-on-year decline in PPI. "On the whole, the year-on-year decline in PPI is expected to narrow in the second half of the year, but there are some uncertainties, and some months may still fluctuate."
