Beijing News (Reporter Zuo Lin, Correspondent Liu Yuan) Recently, the troubles that have plagued the residents of No. 6 Shuangqiao Xili, Shuangqiao Road Community, Sanjianfang Township, Chaoyang District, Beijing, have been resolved - there is a road outside the north gate of the community, and the drainage is not smooth during heavy rains, causing residents to get their shoes wet. Now the road has been repaved with drainage pipes, and the drainage is smooth on rainy days, so residents are no longer troubled by travel.
It is reported that the road outside the north gate of No. 6 Courtyard, Shuangqiao Xili is north-south oriented, more than 50 meters long, and connected to the east-west Jinwei Road in a T shape. Because the terrain is lower than Jinwei Road and the community was built a long time ago, the drainage pipes and rainwater wells have aged and their water infiltration capacity has weakened. During heavy rains, drainage is poor and the roads are prone to waterlogging.

"Before, almost no one walked on this road. After a new parking lot was built at the north gate of the community at the end of last year, more people passed through the north gate. Recently, there has been an increase in rainfall, and the road occasionally accumulates water, affecting residents' travel." Kun Wei, secretary of the Party Committee of Shuangqiao Road Community, said that when there is heavy rain, the community and property will organize staff to clear the accumulated water to ensure residents' travel, but this is not a long-term solution.
To solve this problem, the community actively coordinated with the Sanjianfang Township Social Public Affairs Service Center and Beijing Haojieran Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd. to conduct on-site inspections of drainage facilities and clogged rainwater wells. They found that there was a drainage pipe on the north side of the community road that met the direction of rainwater flow. The drainage problem could be solved by re-laying the drainage pipe. On August 7, Beijing Haojieran Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd. began to re-lay the drainage pipe. After two days of construction, the new drainage pipeline was installed, and the water accumulation problem was fundamentally solved.
