Chongqing is taking action to build a city with convenient supercharging. On August 15, reporters learned that a number of supercharging station facilities, including the Chongqing National Expo Center Supercharging Station located in Yuelai International Convention and Exhibition City and the Yuelai Center Supercharging Station, will soon be completed and put into use.
It is reported that the Chongqing National Expo Center Supercharging Station is located in the P2 parking lot in the north area of the National Expo Center. It has a total of 20 charging piles. The maximum charging power of a single supercharging pile is 480 kilowatts. New energy cars can replenish 200 kilometers of mileage in as fast as 5 minutes.

The Yuelai Center Supercharging Station is located in the ground parking lot of Yuelai Center and has 8 charging piles. The supercharging piles use liquid-cooled DC terminal technology, which has greater output power and stronger heat dissipation capacity, and can achieve an ultra-fast charging experience of "charging for one second and driving one kilometer".
A relevant person in charge of Yuelai Convention and Exhibition City said that the city has built 5 supercharging stations and put 3 into use, and plans to build more than 30 supercharging stations next year.
"In order to build more supercharging stations, the whole city is currently sparing no effort." The person in charge of the Municipal Economic and Information Commission said that in accordance with the "Chongqing New Energy Vehicle Convenient Supercharging Action Plan (2024-2025)" issued in April this year, next year all new public fast-charging stations in the central urban area of our city will have supercharging capabilities. At the same time, existing charging stations will be gradually transformed into supercharging stations. By then, the city will have built more than 2,000 supercharging stations and more than 4,000 supercharging piles, covering public parking lots, commercial gathering areas, tourist attractions and other scenarios.
At the same time, the municipal finance also provides "real money" support for the construction of charging stations throughout the city. Recently, the Municipal Finance Bureau issued the 2024 energy conservation and emission reduction subsidy budget (second batch), combined with the pilot program of filling the gaps in county-level charging and swapping facilities, and allocated 79.2 million yuan in reward funds to Zhongxian and Yunyang to support the local improvement of public charging and swapping service guarantee capabilities, cultivate charging and swapping application scenarios, and improve the service guarantee capabilities of county-level postal express outlets, rural passenger and freight stations, and other scenarios suitable for new energy vehicle charging.
