Fast Technology reported on August 15 that according to media reports, analyst Jeff Pu said in a report to investors that the iPhone 16 series will not have major upgrades, and he is more optimistic about the iPhone 17 series.

Jeff Pu pointed out that the iPhone 17 series upgrade is bigger and more attractive for five reasons:

First, the iPhone 17 series adopts a brand new design;

Second, the iPhone 17 series has an upgraded front camera, equipped with a 24-megapixel front camera;

Third, the iPhone 17 series is equipped with a new 48-megapixel periscope telephoto lens to achieve better optical zoom effect;

Fourth, the iPhone 17 Pro Max’s smart island will be narrower, with a higher screen-to-body ratio and a better look and feel;

Fifth, the iPhone 17 Pro series has upgraded its memory to 12GB.

Analyst Jeff Pu also mentioned that iPhone 12 series users have entered a replacement cycle, and the upgrade points of the iPhone 17 series can just attract iPhone 12 series users.

It is also worth noting that the iPhone 17 series will discontinue the Plus version and add the iPhone 17 Slim (possibly the iPhone 17 Air). The design of this new model is novel and thinner, which will attract users to place orders.
