"Dong, Dong, Dong..." Three sonorous wooden drums were heard from the square of Simao Wa Village in Zhongzhai, Sanjia Village, Qingshui Township, Tengchong City, Yunnan Province. Wooden drums, called "Krok" in Wa language, represent auspiciousness and blessings in Wa culture. "One drum beat means good weather and good harvest; two drum beats mean peace and prosperity; three drum beats mean peace and prosperity!" The sonorous sound of the Wa wooden drums is also the echo of happiness in the village.
