The Union Solidarity and Development Party was established in 2010. Its predecessor was the Union Solidarity and Development Association organized by the Myanmar military. Therefore, since its establishment, this party has always represented the interests of the Myanmar military. In a sense, it can be regarded as the external mouthpiece of the Myanmar military government.
