Yesterday evening, Zeekr Auto (ZK.US) released the 2025 Zeekr 007 and 001 models, with some versions reduced by 10,000 to 30,000 yuan in price, and improved battery and smart driving performance. What shocked many old Zeekr owners is that this iteration is less than half a year away from the launch of the 2024 Zeekr 001, and only 8 months away from the launch of the 2024 Zeekr 007.
In this regard, the relevant person in charge of Zeekr told the Red Star Capital Bureau that the launch of new products is based on market demand and the rhythm of product development. The launch of the self-developed intelligent driving version is also a response to user calls to provide users with an additional intelligent driving solution. The intelligent driving R&D team has made special efforts to achieve the first stage of the vast intelligent driving version of Zeekr 001, which was originally planned to be realized by the end of this year.
To compensate old car owners, Zeekr provides a 10,000 yuan car purchase voucher, and users who have not been scheduled for production can upgrade to the corresponding 2025 model for free.

The new Zeekr 007 is priced between 209,900 and 299,900 yuan. The price of the high-end version has not changed, while the prices of the other three versions have been reduced by 20,000 to 30,000 yuan. The new Zeekr 001 is priced between 259,000 and 769,000 yuan. A new entry-level rear-wheel drive version with a 95-degree battery is added, equipped with Mobileye's intelligent driving solution, and the price is reduced by 10,000 yuan. The prices of other versions remain unchanged.
In terms of performance, the new Zeekr has also evolved, especially the intelligent driving system is the focus of the upgrade. The new Zeekr 007 is the first to be equipped with the second-generation BRIC battery, which has a faster charging speed; it is upgraded with Zeekr AI OS and Haohan Intelligent Driving 2.0 version, and has officially achieved end-to-end mass production; the entire series is equipped with laser radar and dual NVIDIA OrinX intelligent driving chips as standard, with a total chip computing power of 508 TOPS. The entry-level model of the 2024 model only has one NVIDIA Drive Orin intelligent driving chip with a computing power of 254TOPS and no laser radar.
The new Zeekr 001 will also be the first to be equipped with Zeekr AI OS and the Haohan Intelligent Driving 2.0 system. Except for the entry-level model, which still uses two Mobileye intelligent driving chips (total computing power of 48 TOPS) and does not have a laser radar, other versions of the car are equipped with laser radars and dual NVIDIA OrinX intelligent driving chips as standard.
It can be seen that the price of the new Zeekr car has dropped while the performance has improved. What makes many old Zeekr 001/007 owners dissatisfied is that the 2024 Zeekr 001 was just launched on February 27 this year; the 2024 Zeekr 007 was launched on December 27 last year, and the rear-wheel drive enhanced version was launched on April 1 this year. The time between the two iterations is only about half a year, while the normal situation is a yearly change.
Many netizens complained, "You can buy the 23rd, 24th, and 25th models, three Zeekr 001s in 2024," "Zeekr has three generations in one year," "It is said that Xiaomi sharpens a sword for three years, and Zeekr sharpens three swords in one year."
During the Zeekr new car launch on the evening of August 13, many netizens "flooded the comment area of the live broadcast with complaints". Zeekr officials later closed the live broadcast comments "all members are banned", but users continued to "flood the screen" by changing their nicknames and sending gifts.
On platforms such as Chezhi.com and Heimao Complaint, many owners of the 2024 Zeekr 001/007 have filed complaints, believing that Zeekr concealed its plan to launch new cars, harmed consumer rights, and demanded compensation.

An old car owner told Red Star Capital that he bought a 2024 Zeekr 007 rear-wheel drive enhanced 75kWh in July this year, and the 2025 new model was released a month later. The entry-level model he bought was cut off, and the same 229,000 yuan could buy a higher-level smart driving version. "Zeekr refuted various rumors in July and concealed the plan to launch a new car, which is obviously suspected of sales fraud. In addition, after the 2024 Zeekr 007 rear-wheel drive enhanced version was launched, Zeekr compensated the old car owners for their points, but now there is no compensation."
On July 12, Zeekr's legal department refuted the rumor that "the new version 001 will be officially announced at the end of this month." Zeekr CMO Guan Haitao publicly solicited clues and evidence, and rewarded the provider with a car. At present, Guan Haitao's rumor-refuting Weibo still exists, but the comment selection mode has been turned on.

Zeekr has always strived to provide users with the most competitive products at the moment, and also hopes to strive to provide users with the latest technology as soon as possible to bring a better experience. The launch of new products is based on market demand and the rhythm of product development. The launch of the self-developed intelligent driving version is also a response to user calls to provide users with an additional intelligent driving solution option. Customers can choose between the Mobileye SuperVision (MV) solution and the Haohan Intelligent Driving solution according to their own needs. Zeekr explained that the 2024 Zeekr 001 was confirmed and developed in early 2023, and there was no plan to adopt the vast intelligent driving solution at that time. The vast intelligent driving has been widely praised by users and the industry, and many potential users have called for the choice of the vast intelligent driving solution. Therefore, starting in April, an internal decision was made to launch a self-developed intelligent driving solution. Some old Zeekr owners suggested that Zeekr should provide a reasonable compensation plan, including but not limited to cash compensation, point rewards or upgrade services, and ensure that the rights and feelings of old car owners are fully considered when launching new models or making price adjustments in the future to avoid similar situations from happening again.
As compensation for old car owners, Zeekr has provided a car purchase voucher worth 10,000 yuan. "The first owner of a new Zeekr car who places an order for the first 2025 Zeekr 001, 2025 Zeekr 001 FR and 2025 Zeekr 007 before 24:00 on September 30, 2024 (inclusive) can enjoy a 10,000 yuan discount on the final payment. Regardless of whether the old car is disposed of, the first owner of a new Zeekr car can enjoy the benefits by adding a trade-in."
In addition, users who have placed orders for Zeekr 001/007 before 20:00 on August 13 but have not yet been scheduled for production will be automatically switched and delivered the corresponding version of the upgraded model equipped with the Haohan Intelligent Driving Solution. Users whose App status is displayed as "pending confirmation of departure", "about to depart", "vehicle in transit", "vehicle in preparation", or "pending for pick-up" cannot participate.
Due to the configuration adjustment, the 2024 rear-wheel drive enhanced version orders will be automatically upgraded to the 2025 rear-wheel drive intelligent driving version, and the 2024 four-wheel drive version orders will be automatically upgraded to the 2025 four-wheel drive intelligent driving version. Since the 2025 Zeekr 001 has not changed except for one new version, the corresponding version will be upgraded by default for users who have not been scheduled for production.
