Does “Seahorse” have authoritative certification?

Of course. This event is certified by the Chinese Track and Field Association, co-organized by the Beijing Municipal Sports Bureau and the People's Government of Haidian District, Beijing, hosted by the Haidian District Sports Bureau, and operated by Beijing Zhongrui Sports Industry Co., Ltd.

The registration period is from 10:00 on August 15, 2024 to 17:00 on August 30, 2024. Hurry up and register!

During the registration period, all registrants must read and agree to the "Participation Statement", "Registration Instructions", "Risk Warning", and "A Letter to Fellow Runners", and then fill in all personal registration information truthfully and submit it as required. Once the registration fee is successfully paid, the corresponding registration process is completed.

When the number of registrants exceeds the registration limit, the qualification for the competition will be obtained by drawing lots. Athletes who win the lottery and successfully query the competition number will be qualified to participate in this event.

What are the competitions and how much is the registration fee?

Only the marathon event is available. The registration fee is RMB 200 per person, which can be paid through the registration platform Alipay or WeChat.

What are the requirements to sign up for "Seahorse"?

1. Age requirements

Participating athletes must be 20 years old or older before December 31, 2024.

Note: Participants aged 65 and above should strengthen their self-health assessment.

2. Health requirements

Marathon is a high-load, high-intensity, long-distance competitive sport. It is also a high-risk competitive event that places high demands on the physical condition of the participating athletes. Participants should be in good health and have a foundation for long-term running exercise or training. Participants should adjust the running distance according to their physical condition and training level, and stop or withdraw from the competition in a timely manner.

Those with the following diseases or conditions are not suitable to participate in this competition:

1. Patients with congenital heart disease and rheumatic heart disease;

2. Patients with hypertension and cerebrovascular disease;

3. Patients with myocarditis and other heart diseases;

4. Patients with coronary artery disease and severe arrhythmia;

5. People who feel moderate chest pain during light activities and those with severe coronary artery disease (angina pectoris);

6. Diabetic patients with high or low blood sugar;

7. Those who have had a cold or abnormal body temperature within two weeks before the competition;

8. Those who drink a lot of strong alcohol or lack of sleep the night before the game;

9. Pregnant women;

10. Patients with other diseases that are not suitable for exercise.

The organizing committee requires all participating athletes to undergo a physical examination (including electrocardiogram) at a regular medical institution and conduct a self-assessment based on the physical examination report to confirm that their physical condition is suitable for long-distance running before they can register for the competition. During the competition, any personal injury and property loss caused by personal health or other personal reasons shall be borne by the participating athletes themselves.

3. Application score requirements

Submit a completion certificate for a marathon or half marathon event after January 1, 2023 (the completion certificate or results that can be found on the "China Marathon Information Platform" must be used as the basis). The results submitted during registration will not be used as the basis for zoning.

(IV) Regional Score Requirements

This event has Zone A, Zone B, Zone C, and Zone D (all non-racing wheelchair athletes must assemble behind Zone D), with a distance of 20 meters between each zone. The zones are divided according to the best results of the marathon or half marathon events with a certification level of "A1 event" that can be found on the China Marathon Information Platform by the registered athletes (only for events held between January 1, 2021 and August 1, 2024).

I am disabled, how can I register for the competition?

The registration method for disabled athletes in this competition is implemented in accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Notice on the Participation of Disabled Athletes in the National Marathon and Related Sports Events" on the official website of the Chinese Athletics Association:

1. Due to the track conditions, there is no speed wheelchair category in this competition, and speed wheelchair athletes are not allowed to participate in the competition. Disabled people must communicate with the organizing committee about the relevant matters before registering for the competition.

2. Athletes with disabilities (including non-racing wheelchairs) must meet the age and health requirements for the 2024 Haidian Marathon when registering, pay the registration fee according to the registration requirements, and participate in the unified registration lottery after the number of registered participants exceeds the quota.

3. Before the start, athletes with visual impairment, hearing impairment, intellectual disability and upper limb disability shall assemble and check in at the corresponding area together with healthy athletes. Non-racing wheelchair athletes shall assemble and check in after area D and start together at the competition.

4. In order to ensure the safety of all participants, visually impaired athletes must have a running companion throughout the race. Other disabled athletes and non-competitive wheelchair athletes are also recommended to invite a running companion to participate. The running companion must be selected from the official athletes who have won the lottery for this event, or they can apply to the organizing committee for assistance in recruiting a running companion.

After successful registration, can I apply for an invoice?

Yes. The time and method of invoice issuance will be announced on the official website/official WeChat public account/app. Please fill in the invoice information according to the prompts. After the staff verifies that it is correct, they will issue you an electronic general ticket. The invoice will be sent to the mailbox reserved by the contestant by email. How to claim the competition items after obtaining the qualification?

1. Qualified athletes must collect their competition items in person with valid ID (original second-generation resident ID card/passport/mainland travel permit for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents/original residence permit for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents) before the competition. For specific collection methods, collection procedures and related information, please refer to the "Instructions for Collection" published on the event official website, WeChat public account, and official mini-program before the competition. This event does not accept collection on behalf of others.

(II) The event wristband is an important certificate for athletes to participate in the competition and receive the souvenirs. The staff will wear the event wristband on the spot when the competition items are distributed. Athletes are not allowed to remove, damage or transfer the wristband on their own. Otherwise, the organizing committee has the right to refuse athletes from entering the starting area and refuse to issue souvenirs to athletes whose event wristbands have obvious signs of damage.

(III) Athletes who are unable to participate in the competition for some reason can apply for the mailing service of competition materials other than bibs and chips through the WeChat official account of the event within 3 days after the competition. The mailing fees incurred shall be borne by the athletes themselves. Please pay attention to the announcement after the competition for the specific application method.
