On the occasion of National Ecological Day, in order to further enhance the whole society's awareness of maintaining ecological security, Sichuan Public Security has released four typical cases of combating ecological environment and resource security crimes.
Case 1: Illegal mining by Luo Mou and others in Ganzi
[Basic facts of the case] In June 2024, the Ganzi Public Security Bureau uncovered the illegal mining case of Luo and others based on clues found during work, arrested four suspects, and seized more than 540 tons of landscape stones. Case 2: Illegal mining by an industrial company and a stone company in Ya'an

The crime scene in this case is in the mainstream area of the Yangtze River. In order to evade the supervision of the environmental protection department, the criminal suspect tampered with and forged automatic monitoring data, and secretly discharged a large amount of sewage containing ammonia nitrogen, causing damage to the ecological environment of the Yangtze River Basin, with a very bad impact. The Yibin Public Security Bureau has strengthened the connection between execution and execution, gathered joint efforts to crack down on crimes that damage the ecological environment, and continued to escort the sustainable development of the Yangtze River Basin.
Case 4: Chengdu Zhang et al. environmental pollution case

At the same time, the procuratorate initiated a public interest lawsuit for ecological damage compensation. After trial by the court, the defendant was sentenced to bear more than 6 million yuan in ecological damage compensation for ecological environmental restoration, which minimized the threat of environmental pollution to the health and life safety of the people.
