IT Home reported on August 14 that Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 has been released. Compared with the previous generation, it has significantly enhanced the ANC function and provides better comfort. It is available in porcelain white, mist gray, holly and berry pink. The price is US$229 (IT Home Note: currently about RMB 1,644) and NT$7,490 (currently about RMB 1,657).

This headset is smaller and lighter than before. How small is it? Google claims that it is 27% smaller than the previous generation, and it is also equipped with a rotatable and adjustable stabilizer so that users can fix it firmly in the ear.

The headset is equipped with a new generation of Tensor A1 chip, which supports more accurate location tracking and Bluetooth 5.4. Google said that this is the first Tensor chip designed specifically for headphones. The active noise reduction effect is twice as good as before, and the noise reduction frequency range is also wider, which can better eliminate high-frequency noise.

According to the data provided by Google, the battery life can reach 12 hours with ANC turned off (48 hours with the charging box), and it is expected to be used for 8 hours/30 hours with ANC turned on. It also supports fast charging, charging for 5 minutes, and listening for 1.5 hours (with ANC turned off).

In other respects, this headset is basically the same as Pixel Buds Pro, equipped with 11mm drivers and a new high-frequency sound chamber for "smooth highs." Thanks to Tensor A1's support for new dedicated discrete audio signals, it can provide "pure clean sound," which means it can achieve higher audio fidelity.

Additionally, Google has added a conversation detection feature that can tell when you're talking and automatically switch to transparency mode; it switches back to ANC mode when you're done chatting.
