Google has improved the display experience on its Pixel Watch 3 smartwatch. The 41mm Pixel Watch 3 maintains the same form factor as the Pixel Watch 2, but has a "10 percent larger" screen thanks to reduced bezels.

The new "Actua" branded LTPO AMOLED screens used in the Pixel Watch 3 have a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, which improves visibility even in direct sunlight. At the same time, these new displays can also dim down to just 1 nit in the always-on display feature.

In terms of battery life, the Pixel Watch 3 41mm version retains the same 306mAh battery as the Pixel Watch 2, while the 45mm version is equipped with a larger 420mAh battery.

Those hoping for a major boost in battery life may be disappointed, though: Both are rated for around 24 hours in Always-On Display mode and up to 36 hours in Power Save mode, which is about the same as the Pixel Watch 2.

Google claims that the Pixel Watch 3 charges 20% faster than the previous generation. The 41mm model still takes about an hour to fully charge, while the 45mm Pixel Watch 3 can reach 100% in about 80 minutes.
