Recently, the reporter learned from Guangzhou Customs that in the first seven months of this year, enterprises in the Guangzhou Customs area exported 19.83 billion yuan of "cooling appliances" such as electric fans, air conditioners, and refrigerators, an increase of about 5.6% year-on-year.
On August 12, at the Beijiao Port Terminal in Shunde, Foshan, accompanied by the long whistle, the "Dafeng 3028" shuttle ship loaded with more than 4,000 air conditioners slowly sailed away, and quickly headed to Nansha Port through the "One Port" mode. After arriving at Nansha Port, the above-mentioned goods will be transferred to international cargo ships and shipped to Saudi Arabia and other countries and regions, bringing summer coolness to local consumers.
Shunde, Foshan is known as the "home appliance capital". After years of development, it has formed a large-scale home appliance industry cluster with complete supporting facilities. Since April this year, the export volume of "cool home appliances" such as air conditioners and refrigerators in Shunde, Foshan has increased significantly, with at least 700 containers shipped from Beijiao Port in Shunde, Foshan every day.
"We continue to strengthen the research and development of new technologies, and launch different types of products and marketing methods based on the preferences of consumers in different countries and regions. These products have been well received by overseas consumers, and the volume of export orders continues to increase," said Zhao Long, customs director of Midea Group.
In order to further serve home appliance companies in expanding exports and focusing on the actual needs of the industrial chain and supply chain, Foshan Customs under Guangzhou Customs continues to promote the "enterprise group processing trade supervision" reform model, and has included 10 subordinate processing trade enterprises of two leading companies, Midea Group and Xinbao Electric Appliance Group, into the enterprise group processing trade supervision, ensuring the flexible allocation of imported bonded materials among group companies, and effectively solving the problem of tight material supply caused by increased orders for enterprises.
"Cooling appliances" such as air conditioners and refrigerators are relatively large in size. In order to avoid possible damage to goods caused by multiple loading and unloading, Foshan Customs, based on the export plans and needs of enterprises, provides services such as extended working hours and "appointment clearance" during non-working hours, and actively guides enterprises to apply facilitation measures such as "One Port" and "Direct Loading upon Arrival at Port" to minimize the customs clearance time and loading and unloading times for exported home appliances, and achieve "arrive at port and export on the same day".
