China News Service, Beijing, August 12 (Reporter Lv Shaowei) The 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (hereinafter referred to as "CIFTIS") will be held at the Beijing National Convention Center and Shougang Park from September 12 to 16. The guest country France will set up a national pavilion. The design will reflect elements such as the Arc de Triomphe and the Bir Hakeim Bridge, highlighting service industries such as culture, tourism, sports, and fashion.
This was learned by reporters from the "Meet the Future at Services Trade Fair" media briefing on the 2024 Services Trade Fair on the 12th. Zhou Ling, deputy director of the Beijing International Services Trade Affairs Center, introduced that during this year's Services Trade Fair, France will organize 10 companies including AXA and L'Oreal to conduct industry exchanges and dialogues, and will also hold a series of activities around investment, sports, and medical care.
This year's CIFTIS exhibition and display activities will include comprehensive exhibitions and special exhibitions. Zhou Ling said that this year, the CIFTIS has intensified its efforts to promote and attract investment and exhibitions at home and abroad, and plans to invite more Fortune 500, specialized and new, and unicorn companies to participate in the exhibition. Currently, 93% of the exhibition area for comprehensive exhibitions and special exhibitions has been completed. 72 countries and international organizations have decided to set up offline exhibitions in the name of national governments or headquarters, of which 12 countries and international organizations will set up independent offline exhibitions for the first time.
As of now, more than 60 companies and institutions including the United Nations Postal Administration and Bank of China will participate in the results release event, covering a number of fields including cultural and tourism services, financial services, supply chain and business services, and health and hygiene services.
It is worth mentioning that this year's CIFTIS will highlight new productivity and create a "new and specialized" exhibition. The guest provinces of Sichuan and Hainan will focus on advantageous industrial fields, displaying new development achievements in aerospace satellites, information technology, traditional Chinese medicine, and new policies for the development of free trade zones.
The theme areas and special exhibitions will highlight the new quality productivity and the new models and new formats of integrated development with modern service industry, high-end manufacturing industry and modern agriculture, covering AI and metaverse technology, satellite Internet, big data and computing power, financial technology, digital culture and tourism, smart education, smart sports, smart construction, energy-saving and carbon reduction technology and other "specialized, sophisticated and new" content.
