On the afternoon of August 11, under the supervision of the sixth team of police officers on duty at the Nansha Entry-Exit Border Inspection Station, the Liberian-registered "McDi" ship carrying more than 70,000 tons of Australian imported coal successfully berthed at the Guangzhou Zhujiang Power Plant Coal Terminal, ensuring electricity supply for Guangzhou citizens and enterprises during the summer peak period.
It is understood that due to the continuous high temperature weather, the power load in many places has increased, and the demand for imported power coal has also continued to increase. In order to solve the need for "coal" during the peak period and help the rapid customs clearance of coal, the Nansha Border Inspection Station adopts the service measures of "one ship, one policy" and important energy green channel, combining factors such as tides, meteorology and hydrology, and berth work efficiency, and makes "advance preparations" before the ship docks, and "precisely arranges" the service to ensure "zero waiting time" for coal-carrying ships.
According to statistics, since the beginning of this year, the Nansha Border Inspection Station has inspected more than 90 coal and energy ships, with the import volume of more than 3 million tons of coal. It has adopted electronic supervision, early ship reception and other border inspection measures to optimize the border inspection. Nearly 40 ships that are reducing load and transshipping at ports and shifting berths in port areas have been exempted from border inspection procedures. It has also handled more than 200 administrative licenses of various types in a timely manner to ensure the efficient operation of power supply companies and to fully guarantee electricity supply to Guangzhou citizens.
