On the morning of August 1, the Veterans Affairs Bureau of Ruian City, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province and the Health Management Center of Ruian People's Hospital jointly provided free special physical examinations for the parents of conscripts and martyrs' families, allowing military families to share the glory.
At 7:30, the families of soldiers living in the urban area arrived at the physical examination center one after another. Soon after, the families of soldiers from some remote towns also arrived on the scene in 8 dedicated shuttle buses. It is reported that a total of more than 500 families of soldiers came to participate in the free physical examination that day. All the equipment in the physical examination center was turned on, and additional medical staff were dispatched to the post before 6:30 to start preparations, and a small gift was thoughtfully prepared for the families of soldiers.
At the registration site of the physical examination center, medical staff enthusiastically established physical examination files for the military families, patiently asked questions and gave guidance and suggestions. This "Chongjun" physical examination gift package filled with deep love made the military families feel thoughtful and warm.
"I am honored to come for the physical examination today. There are preferential policies now, and the government in all aspects is particularly concerned about us soldiers." Chen Lihong, a military family member from Gaolou Town, said that her son is 22 years old and has only been in the army for a year. She hopes that her son will be at ease to defend the motherland and the people.
"My son is a new soldier who joined the army in March this year. His military service has brought us honor. I am also grateful to him for the physical examination today," said Lin Guangfeng, a military family member from Taoshan Town.
It is understood that the Rui'an Veterans Affairs Bureau and the Physical Examination Center have been preparing for this physical examination for more than half a month. In addition to the on-site physical examination for military families, the physical examination center will also provide physical examinations for martyrs' families with limited mobility. The Health Management Center of Rui'an People's Hospital is the first health management center for veterans in the country. Lou Xiaohui, assistant to the director of the Municipal People's Hospital, said: "Thanks to our people's soldiers, they are on the front line to defend the country, so that we can live and work in peace and contentment in the rear. The hospital also promises to make the greatest contribution to the health of military relatives."
Free health checkups are not only a concrete manifestation of the implementation of preferential policies, but also a heartwarming move to care for military families and encourage soldiers to serve in the army with peace of mind. Shi Changcong, Party Secretary and Director of the Rui'an Veterans Affairs Bureau, said that the special event of free health checkups for parents of conscripts on the "August 1" Army Day not only reflects the care for the parents of conscripts, but also demonstrates the society's respect and support for military families, and encourages active-duty soldiers to serve in the army with peace of mind. At the same time, through such practical actions, a strong atmosphere of respecting and supporting the military will be created in the city, hoping to encourage more people to pay attention to and support the national defense cause.
