Although Harbin's summer tourism market is not as hot as winter, it does not affect Harbin's status as one of the popular destinations for summer vacation. On August 11, Beijing Business Daily reporters learned from Harbin hotels, homestays and online travel platforms that during the summer vacation, the number of domestic civil aviation passengers to Harbin has exceeded 1.08 million, and some homestays and hotels have been fully booked for three consecutive weeks. However, some local practitioners also revealed that with the arrival of traffic and the influx of capital, Harbin tourism has obvious off-seasons and peak seasons. After the winter vacation, the problem of oversupply in the accommodation industry during this year's off-season has gradually surfaced. Local hotels and homestay companies are also formulating daily sales plans and considering increasing publicity and promotion efforts to pave the way for the off-season in advance.

The average price of summer air tickets has dropped by about 11% compared to January

Unlike the Northwest region where summer tourism continues to be popular, Harbin, which is famous for its ice and snow, has seen a decline in the summer tourism market compared to the winter vacation, and air ticket prices have shown a downward trend.

Although tourists are enthusiastic about Harbin in the summer, the air ticket prices have dropped compared to the winter. According to data provided to Beijing Business Daily by Air Travel, the average price of domestic air tickets to Harbin from July 5 to August 5 (excluding tax) was about 1,060 yuan, down about 11% from January. The return of air ticket prices to rationality is due to both the winter Spring Festival travel factor and the continued increase in summer flights.
