Wu Qiubei, deputy to the National People's Congress of Hong Kong and chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions, said in his speech that the Federation of Trade Unions has held patriotic film screenings in Hong Kong for 11 consecutive years, with more than 900 screenings and 200,000 viewers. This year's film tour will screen more than 40 excellent domestic films. He hopes that through this event, excellent domestic films will enter Hong Kong communities and campuses, allowing Hong Kong youth groups to more intuitively understand the country's history and culture, and recognize the country's development and progress.
Some parents who brought their children to watch the movies said that it is very important to cultivate children's patriotism from an early age, so they brought their children to watch patriotic films, hoping that their children would feel the positive messages conveyed by the films, thereby enhancing their sense of identity with the country and national pride.
More than 200 people attended the launch ceremony, including Huang Guo, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference of Hong Kong and chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions, Ma Guangru, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference of Hong Kong and vice-chairman and secretary-general of the Federation of Trade Unions, and Lin Zhiying, deputy to the National People's Congress of Hong Kong.
