According to Pinggu Media, from August 9 to 10, Pinggu District experienced heavy rain. In order to make the travel of the general public safer and smoother, the Pinggu Highway Branch upgraded its response and worked day and night to deal with the rainfall. Affected by heavy rainfall and river flooding, many roads in our district were flooded and the road surface was washed away. Among them, Beinan Road, Xiongnan Road, Xiayu Road, Huguan Road and other roads above the county level, and Tawawa Road, a township road, were severely damaged by water. Temporary road closures and traffic restrictions have been taken. The Pinggu Highway Branch organized the Beijing Ruitong Maintenance Center Co., Ltd. and other maintenance units to make every effort to open the road.
Tawa Village in Huangsongyu Town was severely affected by the rainfall. Tawa Road, the main access road to the village, was severely damaged due to excessive water on the road surface, and emergency supplies could not be transported to the village. After receiving the news, the Pinggu Highway Branch responded positively and immediately organized rescue personnel and mechanical equipment to support the township in handling emergencies. After the rescue personnel worked together, the life passage of the road was cleared in one hour. 30 rescue personnel were dispatched, and 12 excavators, loaders, transport vehicles, and scrapers were dispatched to clean up about 200 cubic meters of rocks and debris that were washed onto the road due to rainfall. The subsequent work of ensuring smooth traffic will be carried out. At the same time, the remaining four county-level and above highways are also under control due to excessive water damage on the road surface, and the water-damaged road surface will be thoroughly repaired in the future. A total of 132 rescue personnel and 49 rescue machines have been dispatched to handle emergencies.
