Guangzhou, August 9 (China News Service) (Reporter Fang Weibin and Wang Hua) China Southern Power Grid Company organized a summary meeting on the "Youth Pursuing Dreams and Lighting up the Bay Area" 2024 Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Youth Summer Internship Project on the 9th. 38 Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan college students from more than ten universities successfully completed their internship at the company.
To meet the diverse internship needs of students, this year, China Southern Power Grid has expanded the scope of internship positions to cover 9 branches and subsidiaries in 6 cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, namely Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Foshan and Zhuhai. More than half of the Hong Kong and Macao college students who participated in the internship came from local universities in Hong Kong and Macao.

"Hengqin is closely connected with Macao, which is the main reason why I applied for an internship at the Zhuhai Hengqin Power Supply Bureau of Guangdong Power Grid." Liang Zhiyi, a Macao student from the University of Macau, said that her internship at the State Grid Corporation of China not only helped her improve her professional level and employment competitiveness, but also made her yearn for participating in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in the future and full of confidence in the future development of the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone.
A large number of open positions, scientific and novel internship arrangements and a "one-to-one" youth mentoring system are the main features of the summer internships for Hong Kong, Macao college students and Taiwan youth at the State Grid Corporation of China. This year's application for internship positions is more enthusiastic than in previous years.
In addition, the State Grid Corporation of China arranges professional internship positions for college students from Hong Kong and Macao based on their professional background and job aspirations, and matches them one-on-one with experienced young mentors to lead them to delve deeper into their professional fields and explore more career possibilities.
It is reported that in order to help Hong Kong and Macao college students better integrate into the overall national development and the new round of reform and opening up, China Southern Power Grid has organized summer internships for Hong Kong and Macao college students for four consecutive years, and the activities are hosted by Guangdong Power Grid. In addition, in order to help Taiwanese youth come to the mainland to pursue their dreams, build their dreams, and realize their dreams, China Southern Power Grid has carried out summer internships for Taiwanese youth three times.
