On August 8, the fifth ship in the 5,900 TEU series shipbuilding order, "CMA CGM Etosha", built by Qingdao Yangfan Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., was delivered for operation. The Qingdao Border Inspection Station took the initiative to provide services and implemented the "one ship, one policy" border inspection measures to help the new ship pass customs safely and quickly.
It is understood that the "CMA CGM Etosha" has a total length of 240 meters, a beam of 42.8 meters, and a deadweight of 75,624 tons. As a new generation of wide-body handy container ships in the world, this type of ship has a high degree of automation, excellent loading capacity, can be flexibly deployed on global routes, and is at the leading level among similar ships in terms of comprehensive performance and reliability.
"In order to ensure the smooth maiden voyage of the new ship of Qingdao Yangfan Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., our station actively responded to the needs of the enterprise and the shipowner, 'tailor-made' the service list, moved the pre-inspection point to the cabin in the anchorage, and provided 'one ship, one policy' refined inspection services for the application of relevant procedures for the delivery of new ships and hull inspections, helping new ships to pass customs efficiently and set sail." said Li Junhu, captain of the Second Comprehensive Duty Team of Qingdao Border Inspection Station, who was carrying out inspection tasks in the cabin.
