Recently, the website of Shandong Provincial Department of Education released the "Notice on the List of Pilot Counties (Cities, Districts) and Pilot Schools for Myopia Prevention and Control for Children and Adolescents in the Province". After recommendation by the municipal education administrative department and qualification review by the Provincial Department of Education, a total of 7 schools in Jinan City were identified as the second batch of pilot schools for myopia prevention and control for children and adolescents in Shandong Province, among which Qihang Experimental Primary School in Jinan Start-up District was on the list.
It is reported that Qihang Experimental Primary School in the starting area has established a myopia prevention and control leadership group, established a working mechanism of top-down linkage and departmental coordination, incorporated myopia prevention and control work into the school's annual assessment system, promoted implementation through systems, and ensured effectiveness through assessments. The school was selected as a pilot school for myopia prevention and control for children and adolescents in the city in 2023.
"Little Doctor Love Your Eyes Bar" is the first myopia prevention and control classroom in the country built by the school for scientific prevention and control and precise supervision. It has introduced many professional equipment such as computer ophthalmometers, flip mirrors, and comfortable eyeglasses. Children do eye exercises twice a day, vision adjustment exercises once a week, and vision tests once a month.
