Jinhua, August 10 (China News Service) (Dong Yixin and Lou Linjun) On August 10, a train loaded with goods sounded the whistle and set off at the Jinhua South Freight Yard in Jinhua, Zhejiang, and headed for the Ningbo Zhoushan Port Railway Chuanshan Port Station via the Yongjin Railway, marking the official opening of the Yongjin Railway's "Jinhua-Ningbo Zhoushan Port Chuanshan Port Area" sea-rail intermodal direct train channel, and the Yongjin Railway and Chuanshan Port Station have achieved seamless connection.

In December 2023, the Central Zhejiang Operation Platform Company of the "Sixth Port Area" of Jinhua-Ningbo Zhoushan Port Jinyi was established, and the cooperation between Zhejiang Seaport Investment and Operation Group Co., Ltd., Jinhua Municipal Government and Hangzhou Railway Logistics Center was further deepened to promote the land-sea linkage of the "Sixth Port Area" of Ningbo Zhoushan Port Jinyi. In the same month, the Yongjin Railway was put into operation, ushering in a new chapter in the cargo transportation between Ningbo Zhoushan Port and Jinhua.
It is reported that the Yongjin Railway, as a regional railway focusing on freight business and taking passenger business into consideration, is not only a convenient transportation channel from Ningbo to the inland hinterland of central and western Zhejiang, but also one of the indispensable collection and distribution channels for Ningbo Zhoushan Port.
In the past, goods from Jinhua and surrounding areas had to be transported to Ningbo Zhoushan Port Beilun Port Station via the Yongjin Railway, and then transferred to Chuanshan Port Area by road. After the Yongjin Railway was directly connected to Ningbo Chuanshan Port Station, it not only reduced the short-haul link, but also played a positive role in effectively reducing the overall social logistics costs. At the same time, it provided customers with a "dual channel" option from Jinhua to Ningbo Zhoushan Port, making the shipment of goods more flexible and further promoting the integration of the supply chain between Jinhua and Ningbo.
