On August 8, the 18th China Brand Festival 2024 (hereinafter referred to as "this Brand Festival") with the theme of "New Quality and Breakthrough" opened in the International Hall of Baiyun International Convention Center in Guangzhou.
The conference released the "2024 World Top 500 Brands" and "2024 China Top 500 Brands". At the same time, the "Huapu Award", which has become the symbol of the China Brand Festival, was first released. JD.com, China General Nuclear Power Group Co., Ltd., Tencent, GAC Group, China Communications Construction, Xiaopeng Motors, Gree Electric Appliances and other 25 companies won this year's Huapu Award.
In the "2024 World's Top 500 Brands", Apple topped the list with a brand value of US$1,021.728 billion, and its brand value is RMB 2,059.914 billion. Microsoft and Amazon ranked second and third with US$966.932 billion and US$804.279 billion respectively. Nvidia, the new leader in the field of AI chips, ranked fourth with a brand value of US$804.279 billion. Sinopec, Lenovo Group, CGN, Gree Electric Appliances, and Aluminum Corporation of China were awarded certificates of honor for being on the list.
In the "Top 500 Chinese Brands 2024", Sinopec ranked first with a brand value of RMB 2,059.914 billion. PetroChina and State Grid occupy important positions in the oil and gas and energy industries, respectively, with brand values ​​of RMB 1,991.224 billion and RMB 1,981.824 billion, ranking second and third. In addition, Tencent and Huawei, as leading companies in the technology industry, ranked sixth and eighth with brand values ​​of RMB 1,151.024 billion and RMB 1,109.009 billion, respectively; Alibaba ranked 11th, demonstrating their strong influence in the market.
In addition, the list of "Top 500 Chinese Innovative Brands in 2024" was released for the first time. Huawei topped the list with an innovation index of 2013.16, followed by China Mobile and Tencent, which ranked 2nd and 3rd with innovation indexes of 2009.68 and 2008.44 respectively. Lists such as "Top 500 Guangdong Brands in 2024", "Top 500 Chinese Brand Experts in 2024", and "Top 500 Chinese Chief Brand Officers in 2024" were also released at this Brand Festival.

Qi Xuchun, Wang Yong, Wang Huanqing and 18 other guests took the stage together to complete the launching ceremony, and the event gradually entered its climax.
The theme of this Brand Festival is "New Quality and Breakthrough". These two words are parallel and cause and effect. New quality is the trump card, and breakthrough is the path; breakthrough is the goal, and new quality is the means. Many links of the Brand Festival also keep up with the topics of the times. Hundreds of big names from all walks of life gathered to discuss brand innovation and ways to break through, and to offer suggestions for the construction of a strong brand country.
