Practicing calligraphy, learning curling, watching dramas... During the summer vacation, children in the community can attend free extracurricular interest classes at their doorstep. Reporters learned that during the summer vacation, Shiliuzhuang Street and the community in Fengtai District held a number of interest activities for children, allowing children in the community to have a colorful holiday.
On the morning of August 8, in the community activity room of Xinzhao Yayuan Community in Fengtai District, more than a dozen children were sitting upright on chairs practicing calligraphy with pens. Two calligraphy teachers corrected the children's pen-holding postures one-on-one.
"The dots should be like rocks falling from a mountain, and the vertical ones should be like withered vines..." In the calligraphy class, 59-year-old calligraphy teacher Wang Huo patiently taught the children the relevant knowledge of calligraphy, from the basic pen-holding posture to the historical background of calligraphy. "We have already had 3 or 4 classes this holiday, and there will be a calligraphy class for adult residents tomorrow." Wang Huo said that his studio has reached a cooperation with the community and will come to the community to teach residents at a fixed time.
The community has "moved" interest classes into the community, giving parents a good place to take their children out for a walk during the holidays. Dong Yixuan, a 6-and-a-half-year-old child, picked up a brush and followed the teacher to learn how to draw strokes. Her grandmother took out her phone to record her granddaughter's serious learning and said with a smile: "It's just a few steps downstairs, so convenient, and I can meet other children of the same age in the community!" The grandmother said that as long as there are activities in the community, she will sign up for her child, and she can go downstairs to attend the interest class. During the class, there are community staff and calligraphy teachers to take care of her carefully, which is safe and convenient.
"There will be a drama performance in the South Square this afternoon, don't forget it!" After the calligraphy class, the community staff said to the parents who came to pick up their children. According to reports, in order to facilitate community residents to learn about the activities as soon as possible, the community has also set up a WeChat group for children's activities. Every few days, there will be notifications of different interesting activities, and residents can participate in the group by joining the chain.
According to the staff, the community has held nearly ten fun activities during the summer vacation, including dry land curling, calligraphy, painting, handicrafts, garbage sorting and other activities.
