Recently, the police officers of the Yanqing District Court Judicial Police Team had just participated in the written test of the Beijing Court Judicial Police Practical Business Competition. On their way back, they encountered traffic congestion on the Badaling Great Wall section of the Beijing-Tibet Expressway. They learned from the roadside highway maintenance personnel that a traffic accident had occurred ahead. When a large truck was changing lanes at high speed, it scraped against a small car, causing the small car to lose control and crash into the fence, causing serious damage and injuries, and the highway traffic police had not yet arrived at the scene.
The flashing lights of the vehicle driven by the judicial police team gave the family of three who had been in the accident hope. As they came to ask for help, the judicial police officers also ran forward to prepare for rescue. The mother and child were in tears, obviously seriously frightened. Although there was no obvious external injury, the child had symptoms such as dizziness, chest tightness, and back pain, and needed to go to the hospital immediately for a comprehensive examination.
As the accident site was relatively remote and traffic was severely congested, the rescuers were unable to arrive at the scene in time. "No more delay, we must send him to the hospital immediately!" "The comrades who stayed behind will help to divert traffic and avoid further accidents." Yang Lin, deputy captain of the judicial police team, quickly analyzed the situation at the scene and decided to split into two groups.
On the one hand, they were directing traffic in the scorching heat. As the area is close to the highway section leading in and out of the scenic area, it is the summer vacation, the peak time for tourists to Beijing and the peak time for getting off work on Friday night, and the traffic volume is huge. Severe traffic jams may cause secondary traffic accidents. At the scene, three police officers, He Sen, Wang Chen, and Cai Cheng, assisted the highway traffic police in safety precautions, placed warning signs in accordance with regulations, and took full-scale photos of the accident scene to ensure that the traffic police could quickly analyze the cause of the accident and divide the responsibilities of both parties. Afterwards, they assisted the traffic police in directing the truck drivers to move the vehicle bodies that were blocking the traffic, clear obstacles, and pick up vehicle debris scattered on the ground due to the collision, effectively alleviating the congestion on the highway and ensuring driving safety.
On the other hand, they accompanied the two injured people to the hospital. During the trip, Yang Lin and police officer Chen Zhizu kept an eye on the two injured people, calmed them down, and made sure they stayed awake. "It's almost there, we'll be at the hospital soon." While ensuring safety, Yang Lin arrived at the Changping District Hospital, which was closest to the accident site, in just 30 minutes. After examination, the mother only had skin injuries, but the child's thoracic spine was suspected to be fractured and needed to be transferred to another hospital for further examination. So the two police officers continued to assist until the mother and child were sent to the ambulance for transfer.

From being at a loss and helpless to receiving medical treatment with peace of mind, the child's mother was moved by the police's help and kept expressing her gratitude.
