"Since the beginning of this year, we have established cooperative relationships with well-known domestic shipping companies, steadily developed the transportation business of complete vehicles, batteries, and spare parts, increased the expansion of two-way cargo sources, effectively increased the container volume of a single ship voyage, and achieved rapid business growth." Qin Xiang, manager of the direct shipping department of Wuhan New Port Datong International Shipping Co., Ltd., introduced.

"To help the development of river-sea direct shipping business, this year we have taken the initiative to connect with ship freight forwarding companies, guide enterprises to use convenient supervision measures such as 'direct pick-up at the ship' and 'direct loading upon arrival at the port', and quickly complete procedures for enterprises through measures such as 'advance declaration' and 'automatic release' to ensure zero delays in ship customs clearance. At the same time, we will also create a 'direct shipping + N' customs clearance model to promote seamless connection between river-sea direct shipping and water-to-water transshipment, rail-water combined transport, transit trade, domestic continued sailing and other businesses, saving about 50% of cargo transportation time and about 20% of costs." A relevant person in charge of Wuhan New Port Customs said.
