Under the unified deployment of the Office of the National Disaster Prevention, Reduction and Relief Committee and the Ministry of Emergency Management, Alibaba acted quickly to respond to the severe flood disaster in Zixing City, Hunan Province, and activated the internal emergency relief linkage mechanism, mobilizing its Hema, Cainiao and other teams to urgently deliver a large amount of urgently needed daily necessities to the disaster area on the evening of August 7 to alleviate the basic living needs of the affected people. On the morning of the 9th, all the relief supplies had been safely transported to the disaster area after overcoming the impact of road collapse on the way.

In this aid operation, HEMA carefully selected a variety of easy-to-store, nutritious vegetables including sweet potatoes, potatoes, cabbage, red onions, pumpkins, etc. to provide timely and practical life supplies for people in the disaster-stricken areas.

According to the website of the Ministry of Emergency Management, the Office of the National Disaster Prevention, Mitigation and Relief Committee and the Ministry of Emergency Management had allocated central disaster relief supplies to Hunan Province in the early stage. Based on the needs of the disaster-stricken areas and the feedback from the front-line working groups, on August 7, they urgently launched the government-society collaborative guarantee mechanism for emergency supplies, and coordinated Alibaba Group, China Rural Development Foundation, One Foundation, Amity Foundation and other social forces to jointly provide assistance to alleviate the plight of the disaster-stricken areas.
Relevant Alibaba personnel said that they will continue to pay attention to the actual situation in Zixing, Hunan and other disaster-stricken areas, provide more assistance as needed, and help the affected people to resume normal life as soon as possible.
It is reported that this year, many parts of my country were hit by rare rainstorms.
