As a leading enterprise in the domestic special engineering shipbuilding industry, Haixin Heavy Industry successfully launched the Qifan 19 built by the company in November 2023. This is the first newly built submarine cable ship in China with a single turntable cable installation capacity of more than 10,000 tons. It is another national heavy equipment in the field of marine equipment. From January to February this year, the company achieved invoiced sales of 227 million yuan, an increase of several times.

In the past two years, the company has accelerated its transformation and upgrading and actively entered the field of new submarine cable construction vessels. "Guojiao No. 1" is China's first national marine power transmission core technology brand and a sub-brand of State Grid Corporation of China. The "Qifan No. 19" built this time is 108.6 meters long, 37.2 meters wide, with a designed draft of 6 meters and a displacement of 24,000 tons, which is similar to a small aircraft carrier. Its single turntable can load 10,000 tons of cables, making it the largest submarine cable operation ship in my country in terms of displacement and submarine cable loading capacity.

It is understood that the ship has also mastered the method of assembling catenary cable laying for the first time, breaking through the new process and technology of constant tension and constant speed submarine cable laying construction, and has the "4+1+1" submarine cable laying construction navigation and positioning mode, namely 4 anchoring, 1 main traction, and 1 dynamic positioning system. The dynamic positioning DP operation capability leads the world's mainstream submarine cable ships. At the same time, "Qifan No. 19" is equipped with professional submarine cable construction equipment such as the largest buried 4-meter burying plow, 60-ton gantry retracting and releasing system, and 50-ton crane. Many of the equipment are the first in China, filling the gap in my country's deep-sea power engineering construction field and opening a new chapter in the development of submarine cable construction equipment technology.

Industrial robots are an important sector and landmark industry of the intelligent equipment manufacturing industry in Haimen, Nantong. On January 6, 2024, the construction of the Zhenjiang New Energy 20MW wind power equipment full industrial chain project, a major provincial industrial project, started, with a total investment of 5 billion yuan. Recently, the project has been capped, and after completion, it can produce 300 sets of offshore 20MW rotor stators, 200 sets of wind power towers, 60 sets of steel pipe piles and conductor racks, 120 sets of floating platforms, etc., and is expected to achieve annual taxable sales of 12 billion yuan and tax revenue of 380 million yuan.

It is reported that the project is mainly engaged in the production and manufacturing of offshore large-megawatt rotors and stators, wind power towers, steel pipe piles, and jackets, offshore motor assembly, floating platform production and assembly, etc. It took less than a month from negotiation to signing of the project. The person in charge of the company said that they inspected many coastal areas and finally chose Haimen Port New Area. One of the important factors is that the local area has a strong foundation for wind power new energy industry.
Haimen Port New Area is the gathering place for the wind power equipment manufacturing industry in Haimen. The wind power blade production base of Ailang Wind Power and the submarine optical cable and cable production base of Tongguang Group are all located in Haimen Port New Area, and have formed a production scale. With Zhenjiang settling in Haimen Port New Area, the wind power equipment industry chain has been completed, and thus Haimen will form a relatively complete wind power new energy manufacturing industry.
