The project is located in Yungang Economic Development Zone, Datong City, Shanxi Province, with a total investment of 7.9 billion yuan.Construction of two 1 million kW ultra-supercritical direct air-cooled cogeneration coal-fired power generating units, and simultaneously build desulfurization, denitrification and dust removal systems to achieve near-zero pollutant emissions.

The project is an important project in Shanxi Province to promote the large-scale coal-fired power and the small-scale power, replace the backward capacity, and build first and then reform. It is also a project to promote the integration of coal-fired power and the integration of coal-fired power and new energy. After completion, the unit will have an annual utilization of about 5,000 hours, and can generate 9.536 billion kWh of electricity throughout the year. The average annual standard coal consumption for power generation is 242.328 grams per kWh, and the annual heat supply is 13.11 million GJ, which can heat 28 million square meters. The heat-to-electricity ratio during the heating period is 82.6%.It will become the largest million-ton unit in China in terms of heating capacity。
