In the past few days, the temperature in Quzhou City has exceeded 40℃.

At the work site of the 10kV Yundong branch line in Lianhua Town, Qujiang District, Quzhou City, employees of the State Grid Quzhou Power Supply Company are connecting the user business expansion project under live operation. Unlike in the past, they do not need to take an insulated boom truck to perform maintenance in the air. Instead, they use a distribution network live operation robot to assist in high-temperature operations.

The front end of the robot arm for live-line operation in the distribution network is like a human "fingers", integrating technologies such as intelligent perception, image recognition, and automatic control. The staff only needs to operate a tablet computer on the ground to remotely control the robot arm, replacing manual work to complete fine movements such as wire stripping, threading, and wiring. Compared with the traditional manual non-stop operation mode, the robot operation is less affected by weather and has a high safety factor, making it a "good helper" for live-line operation personnel.

After more than 30 minutes of intensive and orderly operation, the live distribution network operation robot completed the operation. The equipment was repaired and maintained without power outage, effectively reducing the inconvenience caused by the high temperature weather to people's production and life.

Zhao Zeqi, who works in the live-line operation team of the Power Distribution Construction Branch of the State Grid Quzhou Power Supply Company, said: "Wearing thick insulating clothing and insulating gloves, it is quite hot and stuffy in the work bucket, and it is easy to get heatstroke in summer. Now, we use robots to carry out the work, and the work safety has been greatly improved."

Wang Wenyou, from the power supply service team of the Airport New City Power Supply Station of the State Grid Quzhou Power Supply Company, said: "Now, the application of live robots in the field of power distribution has made great progress. It has further improved the level of intelligence and mechanization in the field of power distribution and improved the power supply reliability of the power grid."

It is understood that relying on the support of digital technology, Qujiang District will continue to expand the application of new technologies of distribution network live working robots, and gradually promote the intelligent coverage of non-stop power supply operations.
