Guandian.comIn the competition for duty-free licenses, China Duty Free Group is far ahead. While most consumers still limit duty-free business to airports, ports and Hainan Island, China Duty Free Group has already expanded its business to cruise ships.

Recently, the first cruise ship "Gulangyu" of Star Cruises, which was jointly funded by China Tourism Group and China Ocean Shipping Group, held its opening ceremony at the Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Port.

The "Gulangyu" is my country's first independently operated luxury cruise ship, which officially debuted in the Chinese market on September 27, 2019. According to reports at the time, the luxury cruise ship uses Xiamen, Shenzhen and Shanghai as its home ports, operates routes to Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia, and has theaters, restaurants, bars, gyms, swimming pools, basketball courts, tennis courts, duty-free shops and other catering and entertainment facilities on board.

Among them, the duty-free shop part is operated by China Duty Free Cruise Services Co., Ltd. (referred to as "China Duty Free Cruise"), a subsidiary of China Duty Free Group.

In terms of corporate hierarchy, CDFG's full name is "China Duty Free Group Co., Ltd.", a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Tourism Group Duty Free Co., Ltd. (referred to as "China Duty Free"), a listed company. It and CDFG Investment Co., Ltd. are responsible for China Duty Free's duty-free business and tourism destination commercial complex investment and development business respectively. China Tourism Group is the major shareholder of China Duty Free, holding 50.3% of the latter's shares.
