Original title: Telling the story of Chinese sports to the world (Olympics and me)
From 1924 to 2024, the Olympic Games have gone through a century and returned to Paris. The Olympic Heritage themed exhibition organized by the International Olympic Collectors Association is being held in Paris, and I am one of the guests invited to participate in the exhibition. In order to prepare for this exhibition, I carefully selected many "treasures" of the Beijing Olympics and the Beijing Winter Olympics and brought them to Paris, including mascots, badges, etc. Among them, my favorite is the award bouquets of the Beijing Winter Olympics. These bouquets are embroidered by Chinese craftsmen stitch by stitch, and will not wither, reflecting the concept of environmental protection and sustainable hosting of the Games. These collections are the wisdom and strength that China has contributed to the Olympics. I hope to "tell" the story of Chinese sports to the world through them.
I have loved collecting since I was a child, and I also love sports very much. Before the 2008 Beijing Olympics, I volunteered in cultural activities and learned about the stories of many outstanding athletes fighting hard in the arena. Their unremitting pursuit of faster, higher and stronger goals inspired me. Everyone gathered under the five rings and shared the glory of the Olympics. It was the first time that I truly experienced the charm of the Olympics, and it was also from then on that I started collecting Olympics. In fact, the Olympics is not limited to sports competitions, but also carries the profound Olympic spirit and Olympic culture. I gradually became an Olympic cultural promoter.
The Paris Olympics was the fourth Summer Olympics that I witnessed. There were many post-2000 athletes in the Chinese sports delegation, which left a deep impression on me. They dared to fight and pursue their dreams on the field. Off the field, they would also actively communicate with athletes from all over the world to enhance understanding.
During this trip to Paris, I brought my daughter to watch the Olympic Games. In addition to watching the games, we also participated in some cultural exchange activities outside the stadium. In addition, I also hope to buy more Paris Olympic mascots, watch more games and collect tickets, and I also hope to have the opportunity to collect the Paris Olympic torch. In the history of the Olympics, each Olympic Games is unique. Every bit of the inside and outside of the stadium constitutes the unique splendor of the Olympic Games.
