The "China Home" National Summer Camp for Children of All Ethnic Groups is a brand event jointly organized by the China Working Committee on the Care of the Aged, the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, and the United Nations Children's Fund since 2004. It aims to let children of all ethnic groups learn and feel the glorious tradition of the Chinese nation's common struggle and common prosperity through a variety of activities, and at the same time mobilize the whole society to care for children from disadvantaged families, orphans, migrant left-behind minors, and children affected by AIDS in ethnic and poverty-stricken areas. As an active participant in this event, Tongren City has successfully held summer camps for many consecutive years, making important contributions to the healthy growth of local children.
The Tongren camp is themed "Feel the achievements of Tongren's reform and development, and experience the rich and colorful ethnic culture", and has carefully designed a number of study tours. The participating children will enter various fields of Tongren and gain a deep understanding of Tongren's history, culture, natural scenery and achievements in modernization. Through field visits, interactive experiences, learning exchanges and other methods, they will learn while traveling, study while learning, think while studying, and act while thinking, constantly broadening their horizons and increasing their knowledge.
At the opening ceremony, 40 disadvantaged minors took a solemn oath, expressing their determination to cherish the opportunity and study hard. They said that they would take this summer camp as an opportunity to study scientific and cultural knowledge more diligently, actively participate in social practice and volunteer service activities, and contribute their own strength to building a great motherland and a beautiful hometown.
This summer camp is not only a caring action for children, but also an important measure to inherit and promote the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation and promote the unity and progress of all ethnic groups. In the following summer camp, they will work hand in hand to explore the beauty and charm of Tongren, seriously participate in various activities, actively exchange learning experiences, and spend a fulfilling and unforgettable summer together.
