The reporter learned from Beijing's Fengtai District that three huge original wall paintings telling the stories of Fengtai's "yesterday", "today" and "tomorrow" appeared in the South Central Axis area. The creators are a group of "Fengtai students". This summer, the "civilized check-in spots" they created have spread across 26 streets and towns in Fengtai.
On August 5, the reporter came to Nanyuan Road in Fengtai District and saw the Fengtai of "today". The wall was shot in one shot and connected 29 Fengtai landmark buildings in the form of film, including Qianling Mountain, Beijing Garden Expo Park, the Memorial Hall of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Zhongguancun Fengtai Park, Beijing Automobile Museum, Beijing Fengtai Station, Lize Financial Business District, and Fangzhuang Culture and Art Center, which span from the second to the sixth ring roads.

Several students are doing the final drawing, holding paint buckets in one hand and brushes and rollers in the other to color the line drawings. After this summer vacation, Chi Junping, a graduate of Donggaodi No. 3 Primary School, will be promoted to junior high school. He said that he hopes to use the vacation to gain some social practice experience and do something for his hometown Fengtai within his ability.
As an important part of the 2024 "Fengtai Students Go Home" event, the "Students Go Home to Beautify Their Homes" new era civilization practice theme event is being carried out in various places in Fengtai. This summer, 150 primary and secondary school students from 26 schools in Fengtai, led by 116 students from 63 well-known domestic and foreign universities such as Tsinghua University, the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and the University of Exeter in the UK, will carry out creative wall painting, urban landscape shaping, new era civilization practice and volunteer service activities, and create "civilized check-in places" with Fengtai characteristics in 26 streets and towns.
The second community of Donggaodi Triangle is an old community. The dark red building was once covered with wires and water pipes, which were as chaotic and complicated as a spider web. This summer, the wall was redecorated, and the wires and gaps were painted into green vines, with two little monkeys jumping between them. This painting was designed by students majoring in film and television media at Fengtai District Vocational Education Center School using AI. "We first provide some 'corpus' to AI, put forward style and theme requirements, and then use drawing software to modify the details after the painting is completed." A student who participated in the design told reporters.

In Fenggeyulin Community, Yuquanying Street, Fengtai students drew a "record player" on the wall. By scanning the QR code, they can "play" "Blooming" on a loop - this is the Fengtai District's city creation theme song voted by Fengtai residents from more than 200 candidate works in June this year.
"The students have fully integrated the concept of civilization into these murals. Through the integration of art and design, the city's aesthetics and cultural atmosphere are enhanced." Liu Yi, deputy director of the Publicity Department of the Fengtai District Committee and director of the District Civilization Promotion Center, said that in the future, the "Students Return Home to Beautify Their Homes" theme event will continue to be carried out to create more "civilized check-in spots" with Fengtai characteristics.
