On August 5, Fortune China released the 2024 Fortune Global 500 list.Chery Holding Group Co., Ltd. was selected for the first time with a revenue of US$39.0917 billion, ranking 385th. Tongling Nonferrous Metals Group Holding Co., Ltd. ranked 438th with a revenue of US$35.2445 billion.

Thanks to its rapid growth in recent years, Chery has been included in the list for the first time. This is also the first time that an Anhui-based auto company has been selected into the Fortune Global 500.From 2021 to 2023, Chery Group's annual sales volume reached 962,000, 1,233,000 and 1,881,000 units, nearly doubling in three years. Chery has exported a total of 3.9 million vehicles, ranking first in the export of Chinese brand passenger cars for 21 consecutive years. In 2023, one out of every three passenger cars exported overseas will be from Chery. In the first half of this year, Chery Group continued to maintain an accelerated development trend, with sales exceeding 1.1 million vehicles in the first half of the year, a year-on-year increase of 48.4%, setting a record high.
On January 19, the first batch of mass-produced Star Era ET vehicles, which integrate Chery's cutting-edge technologies, rolled off the production line at Chery's production base in Wuhu.
The Fortune Global 500 list has always been one of the most famous and authoritative lists to measure the strength of large companies around the world. Based on the list data, people can not only understand the strength rankings of large companies in different countries, but also understand the changes in the company's operating quality such as sales return rate, return on net assets, and total employee productivity. This year, the total operating income of the companies on the Fortune Global 500 list is about 41 trillion US dollars, up 0.1% from the previous year. The threshold for entering the list (minimum operating income) is 32.1 billion US dollars. A total of 133 Chinese companies are on the list, and the total revenue of the listed companies in 2023 is about 11 trillion US dollars.
