Two men suspected of disturbing public order at the railway station were detained by Beijing Railway Police.
At the ticket gate of Beijing South Railway Station, plainclothes police arrested a suspected offender. At about 12:00 on August 2, the 49-year-old offender Zhang recruited three young men without tickets at Beijing South Railway Station and collected 300 yuan in bribes from them through WeChat. Afterwards, Zhang took the three men to the 6-7A ticket gate in the waiting area, and while other passengers were swiping their tickets to pass through the gate, he instigated the three men to enter the platform by "sticking to" behind other passengers.
Zhang was caught on the spot by plainclothes police. Upon investigation, it was found that Zhang had been fined 200 yuan by the Beijing South Railway Station Police Station on April 26 this year for disturbing public order. As early as 2018, Zhang was sentenced to six months in prison by a Shanghai court for the crime of provoking trouble. This time, he was again involved in disturbing public order, and the railway police imposed an administrative detention of five days on Zhang.
At about 12:00 on the same day, plainclothes police arrested another offender, Zhu, at the 12-13A ticket gate of Beijing South Railway Station. It is reported that Zhu recruited a man without a ticket who was going to Tai'an near the ticket office in the second-floor waiting hall of Beijing South Railway Station. After collecting a bribe of 100 yuan, Zhu took the man to the ticket gate and then instigated the man to follow other passengers through the gate in the same way.
Upon investigation, it was found that Zhu had just been fined 500 yuan by the Beijing South Railway Station Police Station for disturbing public order on July 25 this year. This time, Zhu violated the law again and was sentenced to 5 days of administrative detention by the Beijing Railway Police.
Beijing Railway Police reminds passengers to purchase train tickets from regular channels when traveling to prevent property losses caused by trusting illegal personnel's "recruitment". At the same time, passengers are also reminded to abide by national laws and regulations, actively cooperate with the police, and not give illegal personnel any opportunity to take advantage of them.
