Recently, the Qiannan Prefecture Public Security Bureau held a national defense education class with the theme of "Promoting the spirit of heroes and enhancing national defense awareness". Retired soldiers and retired cadres of the Prefecture Public Security Bureau Yu Congrong and Yu Jianguo were specially invited to give lectures. More than 80 young police officers, military-to-civilian cadres, and retired soldiers from the prefecture bureau participated in the event.
During the event, all personnel stood in silence to express their deep grief and respect for the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed heroically for national peace and people's happiness. Yu Congrong and Yu Jianguo shared stories of that glorious period from different perspectives around their war experiences. Yu Congrong encouraged young police officers to organically combine their patriotism with their pursuit of life, and to write about their youth of struggle with their actions. From the perspective of a veteran of the main attack force, Yu Jianguo used simple, powerful and affectionate language, a large number of vivid and detailed pictures, and in-depth explanations to tell the company's combat deeds, scenes of bravely killing the enemy, stories of deep comradeship, and unforgettable experiences, recreating the life and death moments and deep comradeship of the thrilling battle 40 years ago, as if bringing everyone back to that period of war.
This lecture deeply touched every police officer on the scene, and they deeply understood the truth that "a country cannot stand without defense", and fully realized the importance of building a strong national defense and a modern army. Everyone said that it was the bloody battles of countless brave soldiers that brought today's peace and tranquility. We must inherit and carry forward the spirit of heroes, strengthen national defense awareness, carry forward fine work styles, faithfully perform our duties, and contribute to the high-quality development of ethnic regions and the modernization of Qiannan Public Security. In the next step, the Qiannan Prefecture Public Security Bureau will fully grasp the interests and specialties of retired cadres, guide old cadres to actively play their remaining heat, enrich and expand the "Golden Shield Silver Hair Propaganda Team", strengthen guidance and training and practical exercises, and carry out patriotism and legal publicity and education in schools and communities, and strive to spread good voices and convey positive energy for the development of the prefecture's economic, social and public security undertakings.
