Fan Zihan from Foshan City, Guangdong Province, held a special blue boarding pass tightly and was about to board the "Fenfei" flight, starting a route called "Youth Dreams in the Sky". This was his unique coming-of-age ceremony, and what made him even more excited was that on the day of the August 1st Army Day, his "Air Force flying dream" also officially set sail.
Along with Fan Zihan, there were more than 300 newly admitted flight trainees from five provinces and regions in central and southern China. They gathered at the boarding point in Changsha, Hunan Province, attended a collective farewell ceremony, and boarded two Y-20 aircraft of the Air Force to report to the Air Force Aviation University.
"From the moment I received the admission letter, I knew clearly that my future belongs to the blue sky," said Wang Yile, a flight student from Zhounan Middle School in Changsha, proudly.
"My grandfather was in the navy, my father was in the army, and today I am honored to be an air force officer!" Yan Yu, a flight student from Xiangyang City, Hubei Province, was particularly excited. "I want to wear a handsome flight suit, fly a fighter jet to protect the lights of thousands of homes, and continue the military dream of three generations of my family."

Lei Ming, a staff member of the Guangzhou Selection Center of the Air Force Recruitment Bureau, said: "This is a 'gift' we carefully prepared for the new flight trainees on their first day in the military camp. We hope that they will strengthen their ideals and beliefs in serving the country and further enhance their sense of mission, honor and responsibility as a soldier and an air force pilot."

"They have gone through intensive study and training for three years, and today I am here to witness them set sail to pursue their dreams," Bao Jing said.
"Kunpeng" soared into the sky, and the Y-20 crew broadcast sounded - "Dear new comrades, I am the captain of the Air Force Y-20, welcome to join the People's Air Force!" With youthful faces and firm eyes, the young flight trainees harvested the first flight track of their military career.
It is the prime of youth, chasing dreams into the sky and towards the future.
Many parents witnessed this important moment. As the plane flew away, many parents' eyes were red, but their eyes were full of pride and expectation.
