The reporter learned from China Eastern Airlines that starting today, C919 will start operating a new route between Xi'an Xianyang and Beijing Daxing.

This afternoon, China Eastern Airlines C919 with flight number MU2113 flew from Xi'an Xianyang to Beijing Daxing for the first time. This is the fifth commercial scheduled route of China Eastern Airlines C919 after Shanghai Hongqiao-Chengdu Tianfu, Shanghai Hongqiao-Beijing Daxing, Shanghai Hongqiao-Xi'an Xianyang, and Shanghai Hongqiao-Guangzhou Baiyun.

Since China Eastern Airlines successfully achieved commercial operation of C919 on May 28, 2023, the size of China Eastern Airlines' C919 fleet has grown to 7 aircraft, and is currently fully invested in summer transportation service guarantee. As of August 3, China Eastern Airlines' C919 fleet has carried out a total of 3,133 commercial flights and carried nearly 420,000 passengers. At present, China's visa-free convenience policy continues to attract a large number of overseas tourists. Beijing and Xi'an are both the preferred and representative inbound tourism destinations for many overseas tourists.
