A well-known fresh food platform is suspected of selling moldy luncheon meat.

On August 4, a consumer in Shanghai posted a complaint saying that he bought moldy luncheon meat from a leading fresh food platform. The luncheon meat was a self-branded product of the fresh food platform, produced by Sichuan Gaojin Industrial Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Gaojin Food"), and the distributor was an affiliated company of the fresh food platform.

On August 5, a reporter from Nanduwan Finance called the product manufacturer Gaojin Food to inquire about the situation. The other party said that they had not received any relevant complaints so far and would report the matter to the relevant departments. According to the pictures posted by consumers, the luncheon meat has a layer of dark green substance on the surface with many white spots. The production date is June 21, 2024, with a shelf life of three years. The manufacturer is Gaojin Food and the distributor is an affiliated company of the fresh food platform. The app of the fresh food platform involved shows that in many stores in Guangzhou, this luncheon meat is the number one on its canned meat best-selling list.

The consumer said on the social platform that she contacted the platform app customer service that morning, and the customer service said that they could compensate her with a 5-yuan coupon. The consumer was dissatisfied with this. That evening, the platform staff called and said that they could compensate her with a 50-yuan coupon. The consumer said she did not accept it, and the platform then proposed to compensate her with 10 times the amount of the luncheon meat, which is 139 yuan.

On August 5, the consumer told a reporter from Nanduwan Finance that the platform had contacted him and he planned to go to the store tonight to sign an agreement to handle the matter.
