▲After the balcony was enclosed, the living room became much more spacious. The original balcony door had load-bearing columns on both sides, so it could not be moved inward. Therefore, an arc treatment was made to create a transition between the spaces. The sofa background wall is mainly cream-white, and the upper part is divided into different colors and extends to the TV background wall, forming a ring structure, which makes the living room more beautiful as a whole.

▲The overall color tone of the living room is cream-colored, including the walls and balcony cabinets. The soft furnishings use warm colors such as brown, coffee, and caramel from the Maillard color system. The original door and floor colors did not match the desired style, so they were replaced. At the same time, a no-skirting design was adopted, making the entire space look purer and neater.

▲The dark brown Budapest sofa is paired with a caramel-colored painting, which has a retro feel. A roller shelf is placed next to the sofa, which is convenient, practical and beautiful. The vintage floor lamp can be used as an art piece during the day and create a cozy atmosphere at night.

▲The TV wall is designed with a 15cm protruding block shape. The TV is embedded, and the bottom is made of solid wood painted boards as a bracket. The left side is designed with three layers of irregular boards to place small ornaments. The three layers of irregular boards connect the half-cut cylinder and the block shape. ▲The original kitchen was closed, and the flow of movement between the dining and kitchen was not very reasonable. The designer wanted to make the interaction between the dining and kitchen areas stronger and the flow of movement more direct without going around in circles. However, because there was a floor heating water distributor at the bottom of the partition wall between the dining room and the kitchen, the wall could not be knocked down to change the flow of movement in the kitchen. Since the lower part could not be moved, the upper part was knocked down to open a large window. The kitchen door was also changed from the original wide-edged wooden lattice glass door to a more transparent full-wall glass sliding door. The transparency of the entire kitchen and the sense of interaction with the public area have been greatly improved.

▲The glass folding window can not only effectively isolate the fumes during cooking, but also be used as a food delivery port after cooking. It is really safer and more efficient in daily use.

▲The depth of the newly added sideboard is consistent with that of the entrance cabinet. The countertop depth is 350mm, so it is no problem to place some small appliances such as coffee machines. A refrigerator is also placed on the right side of the sideboard (as can be seen in the floor plan), freeing up kitchen operating space.

▲The kitchen, with white cabinets and gray wall and floor tiles, is simple, neat and easy to maintain. The water distributor is left in the cabinet under the folding window, and the refrigerator is also moved from the kitchen to the dining room, which provides space for adding appliances such as steam ovens.

▲The side wall of the second bedroom is built with a wardrobe. The wardrobe is divided into upper and lower sections near the bedside table. You don’t need to move the bedside table when opening the upper cabinet door.

▲The master bedroom has a protruding background similar to the living room. From the wardrobe to the bay window, the space is more integrated and the depth of the room is visually stretched.
