A new rumor further confirms that both iPhone 16 Pro models will get a battery capacity boost, with one significantly larger than the other. Rumor has it that the iPhone 16 Pro will feature a new metal-cased battery. The reasons for this are said to be three-fold - possibly better heat dissipation, increased energy density, and a new way to replace the glue that secures the battery.

Now, a reliable leaker has reiterated a rumor about the iPhone 16 Pro and reported a new one.

A recurring rumor is that the iPhone 16 Pro Max's battery capacity will jump to 4,676 mAh, up from 4,441 mAh in the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The new leak suggests a jump from 3,274 mAh to 3,577 mAh - a little over 9% increase.

A larger battery would likely extend the device's runtime, but that's far from certain. If the rumored new A18 chip consumes more power than the iPhone 15 Pro, that would have an impact.

There aren't many rumors about the screen, so it probably won't have a huge impact on battery life.

Regardless, we’re just over a month away from the device coming out, and the rumors are still rolling.
