Apple today announced financial results for the third quarter of fiscal 2024, which is equivalent to the second calendar quarter of this year.

For the quarter, Apple reported revenue of $85.8 billion and quarterly net income of $21.4 billion, or $1.40 per share, compared with revenue of $81.8 billion and quarterly net income of $19.9 billion, or $1.26 per share, in the same period last year.

Apple achieved new highs in revenue and EPS in the June quarter, while the Services category achieved all-time highs. Revenue from the iPad category also increased significantly due to the launch of new iPad Pro and iPad Air models.

Gross margin for the quarter was 46.3%, compared with 44.5% in the same period last year. Apple also announced that it will pay a quarterly dividend of $0.25 per share to shareholders of record on August 12, payable on August 15.

For the first time in more than four years, Apple did not issue guidance for the current quarter ending in September.
