Eight Chinese police officers are carrying out a one-month joint police patrol with their Croatian counterparts in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Chinese tourists visiting Croatia have expressed a "full sense of security".

The eight Chinese police officers who came to Croatia for the joint patrol have rich grassroots work experience and law enforcement experience, and their English communication skills are outstanding. In addition to Zagreb, they will also carry out joint patrols in Dubrovnik, Zadar and Plitvice Lakes National Park.

"This is our first time traveling to Croatia. I feel it is very beautiful and clean. We happened to see our Chinese police, and we felt very safe," said Xu Yonggang, a tourist from Hong Kong, China.

Chinese tourist Song Ruofang said she was very happy to see her fellow police officers, "Seeing them abroad makes me feel safe."

Petkovic, director of the International Cooperation Department of the Croatian Police General Directorate, said that the police of the two countries have cooperated well in joint police patrols and contributed to making Croatia a "safe tourist destination."

Since the signing of the memorandum of understanding on joint patrols in 2017, the law enforcement agencies of China and Croatia have successfully carried out four joint patrols, winning wide acclaim from all walks of life. The first joint patrol between the Chinese and Croatian police was carried out in 2018, and this year is the fifth joint patrol.

Han Zhuoqi, the captain of the China-Croatia Joint Patrol Team, said that the joint patrol is a highlight of the cooperation between the Chinese and Croatian police forces, which has greatly improved the level of police cooperation between the two sides.
