Sudanese local armed forces: reject any ceasefire negotiations without their participation

On July 30, local time, eight local armed forces in Sudan issued a joint statement.Reject any ceasefire negotiations on the Sudan armed conflict without our participation.

The eight local armed forces include the Sudan People's Liberation Movement (North) Agar faction, the Sudan Liberation Movement Minawi faction, and the Justice and Equality Movement. In the Sudan armed conflict, they all allied with the Sudanese Armed Forces to fight against the Rapid Support Forces. They said in a joint statement,Any outcome of ceasefire negotiations involving only the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces will not be accepted.The statement also said that any negotiations must take into account the crimes committed by the Rapid Support Forces in harming civilians and hindering humanitarian access.

On April 15, 2023, armed conflict broke out between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces in the capital Khartoum, which then spread to other areas and continues to this day.Some local armed forces in Sudan split into two sides in the conflict and allied themselves with the Sudan Armed Forces or the Rapid Support Forces.(CCTV reporter Zhao Yuanfang)
