This is the first time that Ma Dongmin has reduced his holdings in Baidu shares in 2024. In 2023, Ma Dongmin had reduced his holdings in Baidu shares several times, cashing out about US$210 million.

Among them, on July 3 and October 2, 2023, Ma Dongmin sold 390,000 shares of Baidu stock twice, which were worth US$53.39 million and US$52.4 million respectively based on the delivery price. In addition, from April to June 2023, Ma Dongmin sold Baidu stock 27 times, with a total value of approximately US$49.46 million; from July to September, he sold 26 times, with a total value of approximately US$54.66 million.

According to previous news, after several share reductions in 2023, Ma Dongmin's shareholding ratio has dropped to 3.2%.

Currently, Robin Li holds approximately 18.2% of Baidu's shares and 59.3% of the voting rights, making him the largest shareholder and actual controller of Baidu.
