In terms of national standards for traditional Chinese medicine, has promoted the State Administration for Market RegulationFormulated 77 recommended national standards for traditional Chinese medicine, including "Classification and Code of Traditional Chinese Medicine Diseases and Syndromes", "Terms of Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment of Traditional Chinese Medicine", "General Terms of Acupuncture", etc.12 guiding technical documents, including the "Technical Operation Specifications of Traditional Chinese Medicine" for pediatrics, surgery, dermatology, etc.In terms of international standards for traditional Chinese medicine, ISO/TC 249 (International Organization for Standardization/Technical Committee on Traditional Chinese Medicine) has published112 international standards for traditional Chinese medicine, including Chinese medicine terminology, medical devices and other contents.

On October 11, 2021, the National Standardization Administration issued a new version of the national standard "Classification and Codes of TCM Diseases and Syndromes". In order to promote data sharing and mutual recognition, in December 2021, the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the National Health Insurance Administration jointly issued the "Notice on Doing a Good Job in Updating the Medical Insurance Version of TCM Disease Classification and Codes", which effectively promoted the effective interconnection and interoperability of medical insurance payments.

Zhu Gui said that the new version has been implemented in 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps since January 1, 2022, effectively promoting the interconnection and interoperability of medical insurance payments.The "Classification and Coding of Traditional Chinese Medicine Diseases and Syndromes" has been incorporated into the performance evaluation indicators for secondary and tertiary traditional Chinese medicine hospitals and is used by 2,271 traditional Chinese medicine hospitals.At the same time, the National Healthcare Security Administration will review and verify the data uploaded by various regions, improve the standardization level of medical insurance data such as traditional Chinese medicine diseases and symptoms, and provide guidance and follow-up evaluation on the application of standards.
